ACWA Power says it signed three Storage Services Agreements with the Saudi Power Procurement Company on 20 August 2026. The Haden, Muwayh and AlKahfah projects are each rated at 500 MW / 2,000 MWh and will operate under 15-year agreements.
For buyers, the scale makes contract boundaries as important as battery selection. Usable energy, discharge duration, availability, augmentation, grid-support duties, dispatch authority and performance testing should be defined at the point of connection.
Request one interface matrix for battery containers, PCS, transformers, protection, plant controls, fire safety, communications and service. Separate nameplate capacity from guaranteed delivered power and energy before comparing offers.
