Canadian Solar has started HJT cell production at the first phase of its Jeffersonville, Indiana facility. The company has described the broader site as a 6 GW HJT cell facility and previously put the first phase at 2.1 GW.
The milestone improves visibility of domestic cell supply, but a procurement decision still needs model-level evidence. Confirm the cell-to-module route, certified bill of materials, available wattage classes, output ramp and documentation required by the destination market.
Treat origin claims and capacity headlines as items to verify in the RFQ. SolarXport can organize solar panel documentation, utility project requirements and a technical sourcing request.
