HEXA Energy Services says it took delivery of two high-voltage grid-scale battery facilities in Fukushima and Miyagi at the end of August and has begun commercial and market operations at both sites. Dispatch is managed through HEXA's proprietary trading system.
The buyer lesson is that a battery's operating software and market interface can be as consequential as its container rating. Revenue assumptions depend on dispatch authority, telemetry, response tests, communications resilience and the handoff between asset owner, optimizer and service provider.
