India is planning production-linked incentives for more than 10 GW of polysilicon capacity, targeting an upstream gap in its domestic solar manufacturing chain. The proposal is a policy and capacity signal, not yet evidence of contractable material.

For sourcing teams, the useful milestones are scheme approval, named developers, financing, construction, commissioning and qualified output. Each stage changes delivery risk, while module origin rules still require a traceable cell-to-polysilicon route.

Keep new capacity in a monitored supplier pipeline until model-level documentation and allocation are available. SolarXport can support module documentation, utility procurement and a technical sourcing brief.
