GAIL tenders 600 MW solar project with 550 MWh BESS

GAIL has issued a tender for a 600 MW solar project paired with a 275 MW / 550 MWh battery energy storage system at TUSCO Solar Park in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The project sits within GAIL's previously disclosed 700 MW solar investment plan.

For suppliers and EPC buyers, a co-located project should be scoped as one coordinated plant, not as separate module and battery purchases. Responsibilities for the plant controller, grid connection, protection studies, commissioning and performance tests need a single interface matrix.
