Malaysia opens LSS6 with 2.5 GW solar and 1.25 GW BESS

Malaysia's sixth Large Scale Solar programme offers 2.5 GW of solar paired with 1.25 GW of battery storage, plus a 150 MW solar-only Bumiputera package, according to PETRA's announcement.

For equipment suppliers and developers, the tender makes the solar plant and BESS one procurement problem. Grid studies, plant controls, usable energy, availability and commissioning responsibilities should be assigned before price is compared.
