Mauritius's Central Electricity Board is seeking electrical energy from three 40 MWdc renewable hybrid facilities combining solar PV and battery storage. The updated RFP includes amended bidding and power-purchase documents, with submissions due on 9 September 2026.

Island hybrid procurement puts energy delivery and equipment scope together. Developers and suppliers should align battery duration, dispatch rights, curtailment, grid studies, availability guarantees, site logistics and the PPA's treatment of stored versus directly generated energy.

Require one interface schedule for PV, BESS, plant controller, metering, protection, commissioning and long-term service. SolarXport can review solar-plus-storage equipment, energy storage and a project sourcing request.
