Co-located solar and storage projects depend on clear EPC interfaces.
Co-located solar and storage projects depend on clear EPC interfaces.

OMV Petrom and Simtel Team signed an EPC contract for a 20 MW / 40 MWh battery at the Ișalnița solar park in Dolj County, Romania. The 89 MWp solar project is expected to generate about 130 GWh annually, and battery construction is planned to take roughly seven months.

For buyers, the project links a defined storage duration to a solar asset already under construction. The procurement case still depends on usable AC energy, auxiliary demand, round-trip efficiency, grid controls, fire protection and the boundary between solar and BESS EPC scopes.

Request one interface matrix for the PV plant, battery, PCS, transformer, protection, SCADA and commissioning tests. SolarXport can compare energy storage equipment, utility-scale solar equipment and a project sourcing request.
