POWERGRID has opened Indian tenders covering 250 MW / 1,000 MWh and 500 MW / 1,000 MWh of standalone battery storage. The two packages create a 750 MW / 2,000 MWh procurement signal for four-hour systems.

The buyer issue is not only cell supply. Design, erection, testing, commissioning, site interfaces and long-term operating obligations must be priced against the same usable-energy and availability definitions.
