
Tata Power Renewable Energy says it commissioned a 100 MW group-captive solar project at Kayathar, Tamil Nadu. The project uses 261,660 Mono PERC bifacial modules and a flexible-terrain-compatible single-axis tracker design, with expected annual generation of 240.63 million units.
For equipment buyers, the useful evidence is the complete operating interface: terrain adaptation, tracker geometry, bifacial clearance, cable routing, module compatibility and evacuation through the 400 kV grid substation. A commissioned capacity is stronger than a pipeline claim, but site-specific performance data still matters.
Ask for approved geotechnical inputs, structural load cases, tracker tolerances, commissioning records and measured availability before applying the design elsewhere. Compare the evidence with the actual wind, soil, slope and maintenance strategy of the new site.
