The UK Planning Inspectorate says the Steeple Renewables Project in Nottinghamshire received development consent on 9 October 2026. The proposal comprises approximately 450 MW of solar generation and a 150 MW battery energy storage system.
Consent is a project milestone, not a delivered plant. Suppliers and investors still need a coordinated route for grid connection, land and cable works, fire safety, construction sequencing, biodiversity commitments and the performance evidence required at handover.
Keep the equipment RFQ tied to the consent conditions and grid design. SolarXport supports utility-scale solar equipment, energy storage equipment and a technical sourcing request.
