US Section 232 action resets polysilicon cost checks

The United States has introduced Section 232 measures that combine tariffs with minimum import prices for polysilicon. Because polysilicon is an upstream input for most crystalline-silicon modules, the change can reach buyers through revised module quotations rather than a separate line item.

Do not apply one percentage to every offer. Exposure depends on the polysilicon source, cell and module production route, customs classification, Incoterm and the date a supplier can hold its price. Ask for written origin evidence and a clear statement of which party carries tariff risk.
